You couldn't make it up

Fourteen years... that's FOURTEEN years I've been asking the local council, highways agency and county council to try to do something about the parking at the bottom of Fareham Park Road. They've done nothing; in those 14 years I've seen them ticket someone just 4 times - that's if you can even get a traffic warden to come up here, so seeing these "No Parking" signs on the boarding around the old post office building, brought forth an ironic smile to my face when a customer pointed them out to me. 

You literally couldn't make it up. Not that they have really stopped anyone from parking there in the past week.
